Ashburn Icehouse

Ashburn Icehouse is one of the SuckerPuck staff’s most frequented rinks, and for good reason. The rink is managed by the same company that manages Kettler’s Capital Iceplex, and the ice at both rinks is fantastic. Ashburn offers four levels of play, A to D, and the leagues are all no contact/incidental contact. While every league has its share of ringers and such, the Icehouse seems to do a good job of managing league talent to keep the leagues pretty even.

Ashburn Icehouse Offers:
Pickup Hockey
Stick & Shoot
Youth Hockey
Adult Rec Hockey
On Ice Training
Off Ice Training
Figure Skating
Proshop
Arcade

The leagues there are a joke. The D-league is full of C1 and/or B level players. There are a very few novices there and they basically skate around and do nothing. The D league is supposed to be novice, but when you have junior level and other advanced level players out there skating all around beginner level hockey players it becomes a farce. The best novice league is sadly located in the crappiest arena, Fairfax Ice
