Fairfax Ice Arena’s second week of the season is below. I’ll keep releasing them this way until the full season is published. Also – please sign up for the sub goalie list if you’re interested in getting contacted for games. I’ll be setting the page up… sometime this month.

Suprise Pickup at Fairfax Ice Arena

Just a heads up for those of you looking to play some puck tomorrow afternoon – Fairfax Ice Arena is having a special session from 7pm to 8:20 for $15. Go enjoy some ice!

The pickup at Fairfax is very good. No one takes insanely long shifts, and the upper teir guys always pass to the lower teir guys and give them tips and pointers. I played every Friday my first two years at Mason and it helped me a ton.

Fairfax Season: Coming Soon

Just a heads up to everyone in the Fairfax leagues – games will be starting in early April. Todd will release the schedules as soon as he has all the teams locked in and the leagues structured. Also, if you have any friends who want to play in a league here we’ll have a post for them shortly. It will explain how to get into a team quickly, and how to hit the ice skating so to speak.

Two other details – I want to expand SuckerPuck. So firstly, if you know anyone who wants to be on the sub goalie list, please tell them to email me – SuckerPuck@Gmail.com. Secondly, if you’d like to be able to post to the site – let me know (and let me know why) and I’ll set you up.

A Handful of Updates

Haven’t had much time, but to sum up: Chiefs got slammed and we’re out of the playoff run. The Flyers (Novice) 2nd playoff game went into overtime and we lost 2-1. It was a very well played game, there were several times it could have gone our way. Next season. The Philly team (Flyers C2) Did win their first playoff game, 3-2. The first game of the finals starts tonight.

On a side note – due to popular demand, SuckerPuck will be adding a sub Goalie list to the site. This is for any player who wants to play goal in the DC Metro area. If you want to be added to the list, email SuckerPuck@Gmail.com. The only info required is first name and email address. If you only want to play in certain areas, please mention that, as well as your regular level of play. Including a phone number is optional, especially for people looking for a last second net minder.
